Artist’s Statement

My journey into Wonderland began almost 30 years ago. It started with a yellow parrot tulip from my garden. Now 30 years later and with thousands of images in my collection, I am so grateful to have experienced each one, as each has transformed me. The process I use produces a sharpness, clarity, and shallow depth of field that enhances the tiniest details, inspiring a fascination with small wonders.

As children, we had a curiosity about all things, where every discovery felt exciting, magical, and surprising. If we adults are lucky, and open to observation, we may recapture that feeling from time to time. It is my hope that these images can help viewers encounter a bit of wonder in nature and find the extraordinary in the ordinary.
